We have an outstanding selection of yearling does for sale sired by our award winning performance tested bucks (third-party tested at Eastern Oklahoma State College, West Virginia University).  These girls also have dams, grand-dams, grand-sires out of award winning performance tested bucks (from the same third party tests plus the Western Maryland Pasture-Based Meat Goat Performance Test).  We have been breeding top buck test performers to the offspring of other top buck test performers year-over-year, and the results have been parasite resistance, fast weight gains and excellent conformation.

 

We also have 2023 kid crop bucks available sired by the same award winning performance tested bucks We do not castrate our bucklings.  It is our strong belief that until a buck is weaned, much of his performance is based on the mother’s milk and maternal instincts. Once a buck is off mother’s milk, his outstanding genetics really shine since he is performing now on his own. Therefore, we do not band or castrate at the popular times of 30 or 60 days of age.  Choosing future herd sires is an important part of herd improvement.  Doing this after seeing how a buck performs without mother’s milk and care is essential to choosing the very best.
